This blog is about my adventures as a mom of two beautiful girls, Elyse and Aubrey, and my passion for quilts! I just want to keep pictures and posts so I can look back and remeber what I have been up to this past year.

hour glass quilt

Used a charm pack of moda "cotton" for this cute hour glass quilt. I bought a big bag of fabric squares from salvation army for $3. This charm pack was in the bag, not too shabby! I also found a new package of warm and natural batting for 2.99 for queen size, I was psyched!!! I had to put some random borders on this quilt to make it bigger, I used some orange cheveron print from Joannes, that was on sale for $2.50 a yard, I wish I bought more. I  also used 1 yard of Kona slate for the backing and orange polka dot for the binding. I don't usually buy orange fabric, but I really love love love how this cute quilt came out. I used straight lines for the quilting following the seams. It's my new fav, for now.
